The “marine base,” on the edge of the beach, combines customs and immigration. It is open daily from 8:30am-noon and from 1:00-4:00pm. Not complying with clearance formalities or spending the night anchored in the Marine Park is subject to a fine of US$ 2000 and/or six months in prison. In the Marine Park, the anchoring is limited to the mooring buoys. Nights on board can be noisy in Road Bay, with the wind carrying out to sea the echoes of the parties organized along the beach.
