Road Bay - Clearance and cruising permit R oad Bay, bordered by the beach at Sandy Ground, is the only place to take care of all entry and departure formalities and to get a clearance and a cruising permit, necessary to visit the other anchorages. The “marine base,” on the edge of the beach, combines customs and immigration. It is open daily from 8:30am-noon and from 1:00-4:00pm. VHF watch is on channel 16, during the opening hours of the o " ce (Tel: +1 (264) 497 2213) . Not complying with clearance formalities or spending the night anchored in the Marine Park is subject to a fine of US$ 2000 and/or six months in prison. In the Marine Park, the anchoring is limited to the mooring buoys. Nights on board can be noisy in Road Bay, with the wind carrying out to sea the echoes of the parties organized along the beach.
